At last the second season of Game of Thrones has begun on HBO. The third episode will air this Sunday night and I must say I can hardly wait. Having got into the series only recently I picked up the DVDs and watched the entire season and since then I have been hooked. This season is looking to be just as action packed as last season was and since I never read the books the series is my first insight into the plot. Those of you that read that book will either think it was better or worse than the book and I understand that but on its own it is still a really good series in my opinion. The book when made into a TV series or film will never be the same and they will always change or leave out things, this is the nature of film, yet try to keep an open mind and you may find you enjoy each in their own right. I am caught up with the first two episodes in season two so far and now I am forced to wait a week between episodes. This wouldn't be so bad yet HBO has an annoying habit of cliffhanging their shows to keep you yearning for more and coming back week to week. Some viewers enjoy this anticipation however personally I would return out of enjoyment of the series HBO doesn't have to leave it looming over your head the entire week.
